Iconic rockers to play Davenport

They have been rocking audiences for over 40 years, and now they're on the way to Davenport.

Kansas got their start as a Topeka “garage band,” releasing their first album in 1974. Since then, they have sold over 30 million albums throughout the world. During their career, Kansas has released eight albums that went gold, and three (“Best of Kansas,” “Point of Know Return,” and “Leftoverture,”) that went sextuple-platinum. Their two best-known singles, “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry On Wayward Son”, both sold over one million Copies.

The band tours almost constantly, and their appearances on “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band,” two video games, has brought them new fans, as has the inclusion of their songs on television programs like “South Park” and “Supernatural,” and in motion pictures such as “Anchorman” and “Old School.”

The current band lineup features two of the band's original members: Richard Williams on guitar, and Phil Ehart on drums. Others in the outfit are Zak Rizvi (guitar), David Ragsdale (guitar and violin), Ronnie Platt (keyboard and vocals), Billy Greer (vocals and bass), and Tom Brislin (keyboard). Poster printing is a great way to create clever advertising for events like this.

A review of a recent concert says:

“It was a great show. They rock as hard as they ever did.”

KANSAS will be at the Adler Theater with their Point of Know Return Tour on September 27 at 7:30 pm. This is a rescheduled date, and original tickets will be honored.
