Davenport to get new clubhouse

A new clubhouse facility at Emeis Golf Course in Davenport is being planned that will transform the golf experience and attract new players with the First Tee program.

The clubhouse will span 5,600 square feet and will replace the clubhouse that already exists and was built in 1961 when the golf course was established. It will have a reception area for players to check in for their tee time, a pro shop, and a venue for enjoying a beverage with a view of the gold course.

The clubhouse will also have a classroom for First Tee Quad Cities, which is a golf program for young people that offers instruction and programming to introduce children as young as four years old to the game of golf while also teaching essential practical abilities. First Tee Quad Cities was first located at Red Hawk Golf Course in Davenport and then in 2022 expanded to Emeis. More than 1,600 children from the Quad Cities are currently served by First Tee.

Brochure printing is often used to provide more details about such projects and their benefits for residents and players.

The cost for the new clubhouse is expected to be $2.6 million. The city of Davenport has proposed to contribute $1 million as in the Capital Improvement Budget for fiscal year 2026, while First Tee has committed $300,000 to the project. The remining funding will come from private fundraising efforts and grants.
