The city of Davenport will be holding several family-friendly events this spring.
Poster printing is often used to promote such events throughout the community.
The first will be the Community Egg Hunt next month. This event is primarily for children 10 years old and younger who will be able to search for eggs that contain prizes, which can be used for fun throughout the summer and the rest of the year. Among the prizes will be coupons to bookstores, pool passes, and candy. Kids will also be able to enter a raffle to win a Summer Kids Pass, valued at $50.
The Community Egg Hunt will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Vander Veer Botanical Park on Saturday, April 2. Admission is free for all participants.
The Davenport Junior Theatre will be celebrating 70 years of delivering theater for children with a production of “Rapunzel.” Performances will be Friday, June 24 at 6:30 pm; Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 am; and Sunday, June 26 at 2:00 and 4:00 pm. There is no charge for admission.
Earth Day will be celebrated by the staff of Davenport Parks and Recreation Department at the Fejervary Learning Center. There will be a spring clean-up and planting at the Learning Center. Tools and gloves will be provided. This will be on Saturday, April 23 from noon to 3:00 pm.
