Conference for older adults and caregivers to come to Davenport

The 12th annual Caregivers Conference will be coming to Davenport early this month.

Hosts of the conference are the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, Alternatives for Older Adults, and the Milestones Area Agency on Aging (AAA).

There will be over 30 vendors offering advice on topics ranging from technology resources to mental health clinics, and care services. There will also be refreshments and resources for caregivers and older adults.

Such conferences provide an opportunity for vendors to use various printing services for the creation of Flyers and Brochures with more information about their services, which attendees can take home with them.

There will also be two keynote speakers at the conference. Terry Skoog from Skoog Dementia will discuss current research regarding people with dementia, while a Nash Bean Ford & Brown representative will discuss the legal steps to be taken when one becomes a caregiver.

Marketing and Communications Manager at Milestones AAA, Devin Hanson, expressed excitement about offering this conference to older adults and caregivers in the Quad Cities area. Hanson added that this is a chance to learn about the latest information and resources available, and to connect with other caregivers in the community.

The Caregivers Conference will take place at the Goldleaf Banquet Center on East Kimberly Road from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday November 4. The conference is free, and open to the public.
