Sandy Springs is set to celebrate what makes the city special, and it will be chock full of family friendly fun.
The annual Back to School Bash has been organized for the community, and it's part of the National Night Out movement. The attendees will be able to mix and mingle with local law enforcement personnel, and there will be lots of other fun as well.
Along with the chance to meet police officers and K-9s, the guests can spend time in the “touch a truck” area. This will have fire trucks, police cars, a mobile command center and SWAT and QRF trucks to climb in, on and explore, and everyone can watch helicopters and Mt. Vernon Highway. A DJ will supply the tunes, and there will be inflatables, free hot dogs, snow cones and other refreshments. Thanks to Sandy Springs Recreation & Parks, everyone can interact with some display dinosaurs, and as there will be lots of fun photo ops, everyone may want to make sure they keep their phone or camera close at hand.
