Sandy Springs show celebrates America's 250th

Sandy Springs is set to celebrate another July 4th, and as this year is America's 250th birthday, it will be pulling out all the stops.

The city’s Stars and Stripes fireworks show and celebration will be on offer at City Springs District. The festivities will open ahead of the display.

People who stop by to join the festivities will be able to choose a snack or can treat themselves to a full meal at one of the food trucks on hand, and everyone can take in the live performance by Don McLean, who is best known for the classic song “American Pie”.

At 9:30 pm, a 20-minute fire display will start. It will be filled with sound and color, and low-backed folding chairs and blankets are welcome so the crowd can sit back and relax. Drones are not permitted, and it has been requested that personal sparklers are not brought to the location.

Many communities have special plans in the works for July 4th. A poster printing company will be able to prepare an assortment of red, white, and blue decor to make a function feel even more festive.

Sandy Springs will wish America a happy 250th birthday starting at 4:00 pm next Saturday, July 4. More details, including tips for getting to the venue, can be found on the city’s website.
