Sandy Springs will soon be recognizing the bond between mothers and sons when it rolls out the welcome mat for its annual Mother Son Dance.
The festivities will give sons and moms (or mother figures), a chance to make some memories. It is being organized by the city's Recreation and Parks Department, and it will run for two hours.
The gathering will be held at Studio Theater at City Springs. There will be refreshments as well as dinner, and everyone can show off their top moves on the dance floor. Prize draws are in the works as well, and a DJ will supply the tunes. Everyone can try their luck in a dance contest, and there will also be games, and each boy will all go home with a keepsake photo and goody bag of Promotional Products. The dress code is semi-formal. Tickets to attend are $30 each and are expected to sell out in advance.
