Sandy Springs birders, no matter their level of experience, are encouraged to join in the fun of a visit to a local location to search for feathered friends.
Morgan Falls Overlook Park will be paid a summer visit by the attendees in the July Board Walk. They can expect to see a variety of species, and restrooms and parking are available at the end of Morgan Falls Road.
The participants in the walk will meet up in the venue’s parking lot, and they will visit a variety of habitats to look and listen for the birds. Shore, lake, woodland and other areas will be visited, and there will be loaner binoculars and spotting scopes available. The walk may include uneven terrain as well as stairs, and while all ages are welcome, those under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Birding walks and other outings give newbies a chance to pick up the basics and it may also provide those with experience with an opportunity to learn something new. Organizers may choose to order basic field guides, birder Journals and promotional ones can all be ordered from Print shops that offer comb and other binding options.
This visit to Morgan Fall Overland Park will welcome birders of all levels for this walk scheduled for July 25th. It will begin at 8:00 am.
