The City of Sandy Springs announced it will hold an open house for members of the public, so it can present information about the improvements planned for the intersection of Dalrymple Road and Roswell Road.
Attendees at the upcoming Public Information Open House will be able to review the project, and provide input about the concepts that have been proposed. No formal presentation is planned, but representatives of the city will be on hand to answer questions, and discuss the project in detail. In situations like this, officials can use flyer printing to create handouts, including drawings, maps, and other information to give to attendees in lieu of a formal presentation.
The purpose of the project is to make the Dalrymple Road and Roswell Road intersection safer for pedestrians, and more efficient for the operators of motor vehicles. Plans include extending the sidewalk that already exists, and adding another left-turn lane to Dalrymple Road eastbound. Upgrades to traffic signals and crosswalks, and improved lighting for pedestrians are also planned.
Fulton County voters, which includes those in Sandy Springs, passed the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (T-SPLOST) referendum in November 2016. The revenue from this special sales tax will provide funding for the project.
The open house is scheduled from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm tomorrow, May 2, at City Hall on Galambos Way.
