In recognition of local artists, Sandy Springs readies itself for “Artsapalooza,” a two-day festival taking place outside. The event will happen next month and is open to the public.
The event is hosted by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and is meant to benefit artists from Georgia. Many of the participating artists will have direct input on the creation and direction of the festival, and proceeds from the event will go towards scholarships for local artists. For these kinds of events, poster printing is utilized to help attract local talent.
Visitors can expect a wide range of art-related activities at the festival. Guests can take the chance to listen to local musicians or partake in interactive art stations. There will also be over 150 artists from different disciplines ready to show off their creations.
Organizers are also looking for local artists to show their craft. Anyone interested can sign up through mail or register online. The AFFPS will have a jury in place to screen potential candidates.
The festival will take place on September 25th and 26th. Both days will start in the morning and end at 5:00 PM. Visitors will find the festival at 6100 Lake Forrest Drive. Organizers will also prepare designated parking for guests, and more instructions will be given before the event day.
