Two well-known restaurants that operate in Atlanta recently announced they will be opening in Sandy Springs as well, according to an article in MDJ Online.
The General Muir is a New York-type deli which will open in the last vacant space left in Sandy Springs’ City Springs complex. The second restaurant is C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar, now operating in Vinings, which will move into the Modera complex for its second location.
C&S says its Sandy Springs eatery will be similar to the one in Vinings, which has been open since 2007. Rich Clark and Jon Schwenk are co-owners of C&S, with Schwenk also serving as executive chef. Clark says he is excited to move to Sandy Springs, which he describes as the “new culinary epicenter of Atlanta.” He notes that new restaurants in the city have enjoyed substantial success in the last year.
Todd Ginsburg is one of The General Muir’s partners, and he too was enthusiastic about the move to Sandy Springs, saying people have been asking for the deli to open a location here. Once City Springs opened, it seemed the perfect place for The General Muir, since a conference center, a performing arts center, and city hall are all located in the complex.
C&S has not set an opening date, but The General Muir should be open this year, or in early 2020.
