Sandy Springs has scheduled a kick off to the summer season, and the series has dates scheduled for late May and June.
The city’s Sundown Social initiative encourages residents to come to Green City Plaza to enjoy mixing and mingling with their friends and neighbors. They will be casual celebrations, and they will each give area entertainers, food service providers and other small businesses a chance to shine.
The two hour long events will each see live musicians perform for the crowd on the sidewalk, and a rotating lineup of food trucks will keep everyone fed while giving foodies the chance to try something new. Checkers, cornhole, and an assortment of oversized games will be set up, and everyone is encouraged to bring their own from home to play and share if they wish. The adults can head to the outdoor bar to enjoy a soft drink, and beer, wine and a signature cocktail will all be on the menu.
The summer event season is often packed with an assortment of activities, and communities may choose to have guides prepared to distribute to area households that keep them abreast of what’s on the agenda. Stationery printers will be happy to perform this service.
Sandy Springs schedule of Sundown Socials runs on select Thursday evenings from May 22nd until June 26th. Each starts at 6:00 pm.
