The traditional selling of Christmas trees in Sandy Springs is underway, with there no doubt being no shortage of banner and poster printing to mark the event.
The popular Riverwood Christmas Tree Lot received its grand opening on Friday, November 28 with the Riverwood International Charter School baseball team making the launch.
Positioned between the school's football and baseball fields, many locals are expected to head out and purchase their festive Fraser Fir to put on display at home. Fresh from North Carolina, many local families have already pre-ordered their trees, each of which will be given a cut before being handed over.
As well as pre-orders and walk-up collections, the school's baseball team is to deliver the firs for a small fee to homes and workplaces within a 10 miles of Riverwood.
People not pre-ordering are urged to grab their tree as early as possible, however, with the lot only open for just over a week this year. Running now and right through until Sunday, December 7, the lot will be open for business from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm every weekday. On Saturdays, the lot will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sundays, it will open at noon right through until 6:00 pm.
As well as the trees, the Lady Raider softball program will be selling festive wreaths, which will be available in three different sizes.
