A car show and fundraiser is back on the schedule for Sandy Springs, rescheduled from an earlier date.
The 11th Annual Cars & ‘Q for the Cause is returning to the headquarters of Choate Construction. The event is a fundraiser for the Georgia Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and has been increasing in size every year, making it now one of the Foundation's most successful events. In 2019, it raised $521,581, and it has generated more than $1.7m in total thus far.
The day offers both a party and a car show, where over 1,200 attendees are expected. More than 120 prize-winning autos will be on display, and there will be plenty of craft brews, wine, and BBQ on hand. A car competition is planned, as is a silent auction, and there will be live music as well. Banner printing can be used to provide suitable decorations for outdoor events like this.
Organizers are particularly excited about the fact the FDA approved a new drug that helps about 90% of those living with cystic fibrosis. Emily Bridges, who founded the event, said that ever since Cars & 'Q's beginnings in 2009, volunteers, patrons, and the over 140 industry partners have hoped for this type of breakthrough. The approval gives an extra excitement to the event.
It is scheduled for October 17, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm, at Choate Construction on Roberts Drive.
