A popular Irish musical group is coming to the Sandy Springs area. They will join in a concert with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Atlanta, just a short trip from Sandy Springs.
Celtic Woman is a quartet comprised of a Celtic violin virtuoso and three outstanding vocalists that burst onto the music scene in the United States with their first special on PBS. The show earned the group millions of new fans, who were fascinated by the lavish stage production blended with traditional Irish tunes.
Since that first appearance, Celtic Woman has gone on to build a worldwide following, as well as releasing DVDs and CDs that have gone on to achieve multi-platinum status. Billboard Magazine named Celtic Woman their World Albums Artist of the Year six times.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was officially founded as the Atlanta Youth Symphony in 1945. In 1947, it took its present name, and in 1970, with Robert Shaw as its Music Director, it became a full-time ensemble. Reviews call the orchestra “world class,” and “the best in the South.”
