Sandy Springs has a new restaurant—Flower Child, which serves healthy, colorful food, with a menu driven by seasonal ingredients. The eatery gave part of its opening-day proceeds to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Flower Child is in the multi-use project known as City Springs, in Sandy Springs’ downtown. This is the restaurant’s second location in Georgia; the other is in Buckhead, at Shops Around Lenox, and opened this summer.
The restaurant in Sandy Springs will build a fresh menu around seasonal fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Patrons will find favorites available, such as the Mother Earth Bowl, which features ancient grains, Portobello mushroom, leafy greens, charred onions, broccoli pesto, cucumber, and avocado, finished with red pepper miso vinaigrette and sprinkled with hemp seed. Another popular choice is the Vegan Poke Bowl created with brown rice, wasabi peas, radish, cucumber, pickled mushroom, avocado, marinade beet, and spicy ponzu.
Sweet, gluten-free goodies will also be available, as well as a drink list that includes kombucha, seasonal lemonades, fresh-pressed juice, organic coffee, carefully selected wines, and craft beers brewed locally. The restaurant offers vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices. New stores like this can use Promotional Products to help increase customer awareness of the brand.
The restaurant is open and airy, and comprises 3,500 square feet with enough seats for 78. Another 82 patrons can be accommodated on the 1,300 square foot patio.
