Farmers market set for location change

The Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers’ Market is to open this coming weekend for its 2015 season.

Initially, it will be at its usual location, at 235 Sandy Springs Circle. As of next month, however, it will move to a new spot for the rest of this season’s run.

Print companies in Sandy Springs will no doubt help to ensure that customers know the new location, at Century Springs East at 6100 Lake Forrest Drive, is well advertised in the run up.

The reason the popular market is being moved is because of the upcoming major build project for the Sandy Springs City Center. With construction work starting on the scheme this summer, Sandy Springs Circle will be the home of the exciting project.

In both of its locations, the market will take place every Saturday, starting at 8:30 am and running through noon, from now right through November.

Fresh and locally sourced produce will of course be the order of the day for the market, but there will be much more besides. As well as the 50 or so vendors taking part, there will be live music and entertainment to ensure everyone has a good time.

The market is to take place at its traditional location for the next three weekends, but as of the first Saturday next month, May 2, it will set up camp at Lake Forrest Drive.
