The city of Norcross is hosting a Summer Concert Series at Thrasher Park. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the scheduled lineup after dinner in town or while having a picnic in the park.
In addition, the CAN-Do Food Drive will be held at each concert. This is an effort across the country that looks to fill local food pantries. Suggested items to bring include fruit such as apples and oranges, granola bars, and cups of macaroni and cheese, oatmeal, and Rice-a-Roni.
Such concerts and their philanthropic efforts to collect food for those in need are often made known throughout a city or town and surrounding communities with poster printing.
Next month, September in the Park will be performing an Earth, Wind, and Fire and Chicago tribute. Their music celebrates the vocal harmony, horn arrangements, and bass lines of these iconic groups. This concert will be on Friday July 5.
The Troubadour Project will perform the music of the 1970s with hits from Queen, Fleetwood Mac, and Led Zeppelin, among others. Attendees will appreciate this evening of music history. This concert will be on Friday July 19.
The Black Jacket Symphony will recreate classic albums with their tribute to iconic rock and roll music. Attendees are certain to enjoy this musical journey and sing and dance the night away. This concert will be on Friday August 2.
All concerts will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
