Norcross to hold meeting on public safety building

A second Town Hall Meeting will be held by the city of Norcross on a plan to construct a Public Safety Building for the Municipal Court, the Police Department, and public meeting space.

The new Public Safety Building will be built on land at the corner of Stevens Road and Buford Highway, that was once the home of the Norcross Library. It will also occupy land next to this property that the city acquired for this purpose.

At the meeting, the community will receive updates on the scope and timeline of the project. The project team and the contractors will be introduced to attendees, and attendees will also be able to provide their input in the exterior design of the new building, and on the public meeting space.

Members of the community in Norcross are encouraged to attend. Those who are unable to attend the meeting will be able to fill out an online survey on the city’s website and provide feedback through social media. Residents are often made aware of such important meetings through poster printing services.

The meeting will be held at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center on College Street, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday October 23. The meeting will enable residents of the city to participate in community development, and in the design of the new building.
