Norcross company awarded major contract from Navy

A contract for a multiple award with the United States Navy for Seaport Next Generation has been given to IBEX IT Business Experts (IBEX), a nationally recognized information technology training and consulting firm in Norcross.

This contract that will facilitate the ability of the Navy to access project management and engineering support services by using task orders. IBEX will be a prime contractor and will be able to compete for task orders from the Navy and support it with program management, technical, and engineering services that cover 23 functional areas. Such companies often enhance their support with brochure printing, which explains in further detail what such services are offered.

It is estimated by the government that the dollar amount of task orders issues every year under this contract will be about $5bn. There is a base period of two and a half years for each multiple award and an ordering period of five years.

An IT resource spokesperson for the Navy said this is the first such award to have been given to IBEX, whose team has been efficient, responsible, and professional, adding that the website and processes IBEX created enables the department to resolve issues quickly daily.

Overall problem solving, acting as a liaison with third party vendors, and sign-ups are some of the issues IBEX supports.
