Norcross company announces new product for packaged meals

The GreenStream sustainable Packaging portfolio of Preferred Packaging based in Norcross has been expanded with new molded pulp trays composed of natural plant fibers.

These trays are designed to be used for packaged meals and can be used in an oven, microwave, and freezer. They are also recyclable and can be used for compost. Preferred Packaging is a division of C-P Flexible Packaging.

Pulp trays made by GreenStream are made of plant fibers such as bamboo fibers and sugar cane and manufactured so as not to generate wastewater. They are designed to maintain their strength and provide a positive experience for consumers. Options include proprietary films for lids which features improved resistance to water and oil and tray-sealing equipment which can accommodate all budgets and volumes of use. Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about such products and their features.

CEO of C-P Flexible Packaging, Mike Hoffman, said that the addition of these plant fiber trays from GreenStream strengthens the capabilities of his company to provide environmentally responsible and innovative solutions to the market of prepared meals. He added that the company has been able to showcase several new products that will enable schools to provide high-quality snacks, desserts, and meals in an efficient and safe format while having less of an impact on the environment.
