Automotive company to build parts center in Norcross

The largest independent distributor of Toyota, Southeast Toyota Distributors, will be opening a new parts center in Norcross.

About 120 new jobs will be created as a result. Job creation in new areas often require business card printing services.

The new center will be 453,000 square feet in size and represents an investment of $41 million by the company in Gwinnett County.

Southeast Toyota Distributors said that this new center will facilitate sending parts to the 177 dealerships of the car company that are in North and South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. This will benefit both the dealerships and their customers.

Governor Brian Kemp congratulated Gwinnett County and Southeast Toyota Distributors for the announcement about this new parts center. He said that the state is growing as a regional and logistics hub, particularly for the automobile industry and is well equipped to meet the needs of businesses and consumers with developments such as this one.

This is not the first time that automakers have been attracted to the metropolitan area of Atlanta. Hyundai plans to open a battery and electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Newnan, investing $24 million. In Jackson County Toyota Industries Electric Systems North America invested $69 million to build a plant that builds electrical converters for hybrid vehicles.

The new parts center is expected to begin operations early next year.
