The Activity Playhouse will hold a family-friendly community festival in June at Avalon Park in McDonough.
The 2nd Annual Summer Fun Fest is an event where kids can enjoy several outdoor activities in a safe environment. The festival will have a Little Ones Zone where children who are five and younger can take part in hands-on activities, crafts projects, and interactive games. The Kids Zone for older children will include carnival games and thrilling challenges. The festival will conclude with a foam party with live music that all children can join. Food can be purchased from vendors at the park.
The Activity Playhouse is an organization that was created by Nyetta, The Mom Playologist. Nyetta wanted to make fun activities that encouraged children to learn, which turned into the Purposeful PLAY approach. The Activity Playhouse holds collaborative play events for kids with brands such as Crust & Craft, Lighthouse Learning, and McDonough Moms. She is also the creator of the Let Kids Play Podcast.
The summer festival for children will be on Sunday, June 9th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no cost for families to visit the park and take part in the outdoor activities. Guests are asked to register for the fest on Eventbrite before the event date. Organizations that put together child-friendly programs like this can utilize banner printing to make ads for their family activities.
