A McDonough event taking place in late February is giving the attendees a space to learn creative skills while also experiencing a fun and welcoming environment.
Galactic Reflections sits within the popular genre of “paint and sip” art activities. The class is hosted by the staff of the local Painting with a Twist location. The image in focus for this event uses a color palette of cool tones such as shades of blue, purple, and pink. Depicted are a moon and stars scattered across the sky, with its reflection also visible in the water below.
Participants will learn a number of techniques that can be transferred to other paintings in the future. The event is open to those who are 18 or older, with the atmosphere intended to make painting approachable and fun for everyone.
Tickets are available through the McDonough studio’s website. The piece will be created on a 16”x20” canvas, which is included in the $39 price along with other materials. Purchases must be made online or via phone call to ensure the space is kept available. For another $25, participants can also spend time before the session making a special scented candle. Flyer printing is a promotion technique which is simple and popular with a number of event types.
Guests are welcome to bring drinks and snacks, including alcohol if they are over 21. The class will take place on Thursday, February 26 between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
