McDonough residents will have a chance to let go of stress and tension this summer through a sound therapy session that stills the mind.
The Stress Reset: Sound Therapy & Meditation Experience has announced the date for an evening of tranquility through the power of sound waves, and area residents are invited to sign up. The class is being presented by CoreLife Holistic Wellness, and it is designed to help attendees who do not realize that they have reached a stage of burnout.
Participants will find themselves in a setting where they can let their mind and body relax and slow down away from the daily routine. Dr. Anissa Hunter will be hosting the session, using her experience to help heal the nervous system. Promoters can spread the word of events like this in the community through brochure printing, with the pages sharing the benefits of sound therapy.
The session will not be a lecture, but rather a guided path toward resetting body and mind. Dr. Hunter will use breathwork to settle the body and meditation to put the mind at ease with help from crystal singing bowls. Participants should bring a yoga mat or blanket.
CoreLife Holistic Wellness in McDonough will host the sound therapy session on Tuesday, June 9 starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $45 online or $50 at the door.
