Annual McDonough event returns to mark festive season
A yearly experience is returning to McDonough in a month as a fun holiday event.
The Hot Chocolate Social is an event from city officials and this year is the third edition of the experience. Community members can enjoy a magical, festive atmosphere by exploring Christmasville Tinseltown. This is a light display which guests are able to wander through, giving everyone a chance to see the intricate details up close. Festive activities will be implemented for all ages.
There will also be music that is played by live performers, which guests can enjoy as they stroll, or by sitting on chairs and blankets they bring along.
Attendees can also enjoy food from one of several vendors. Hot chocolate and other beverages with holiday associated flavors will be available, with toppings to make the drinks custom to each person’s liking. As long as supplies are around, s’mores will also be offered. Guests are advised to bring mobile pay, cards, and cash, as vendors may take different forms of payment.
Parking is free and two lots are designated for the event, with information available on the social’s website. City-led events will often choose an advertising method like flyer printing.
The McDonough experience is free to attend and will run between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm on Saturday, December 13 at Alexander Parks West.
