The 2021 McDonough Rock Festival will be held next month, featuring classic rock tribute bands. The concert will be held in support of the Nicholas and Friends Foundation.
The festival will include three homegrown, Georgia-based bands, including a tribute to Journey performance by Departure. Their act will focus on Journey’s popular hits from the 1970s and 1980s. Atlanta’s Head Games will pay homage to the music of Foreigner, and Skyn Folks will give tribute to the hit tracks from Lynyrd Skynyrd. In addition, local musician Nathan Morgan will lead his band through an opening act of traditional hard rock.
Proceeds from the event will be in support of the work done by the Nicholas and Friends Foundation. The non-profit group provides volunteer assistance and much needed educational supplies for special needs children in Georgia schools.
VIP packages for this event are available, including preferred seating and table service with a special standing room only area next to the stage. VIP ticket holders will also receive a concert swag bag filled with Promotional Products from event sponsors, and a concert lanyard.
The festival will take place on Saturday, August 21st from 3:00 to 10:00 PM at the Jason T. Harper Event Center, located at 95 Lake Dow Road. Tickets are available on the Eventbrite website, for $30 for general admission and $50 for VIP tickets. Kids aged 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
