New creative studio to open in McDonough

McDonough residents can look forward to a new place to let their inner artists loose towards the end of February.

Break the Moldz (BTM) is an artistic company. The goal for founders Shelly and Lloyd is to give everyone a place where they can practice self-expression and try a variety of projects. The brick-and-mortar space is preparing for its grand opening.

Unlike some other studios of this nature, BTM will be offering more than just painting. While the classic craft will be available, there will also be opportunities to make candles, shaving cream, resin items, aftershave, soap, lip gloss, bath bombs, lip balm, beard balm, sidewalk chalk, clay items, customized soft toys, incense, snow globes, and slime.

On a typical day, people are welcome to book a session online, or just walk into the venue, as long as they arrive prior to 4:00 pm.

For the celebration, a VIP option is still available at the time of writing with a price tag of $25. This can be found on Eventbrite. The included perks are an extra four tickets (making a total of five) for the raffle, priority seating, and bag of special gifts. The raffle prize is a bundle of art supplies.

Many times, new businesses will have some type of takeaway items or Promotional Products to help keep their names in the minds of patrons.

The grand opening itself is taking place on Friday, February 21. The party will follow the next day, February 22, between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
