Fablux Wigs will hold an in-person course this May at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham in McDonough.
The Atlanta Hands-on Frontal Wig-Making Class is a course to help wig creators learn and improve their skills from experienced professionals. The workshop will show participants how to use sewing machines to construct frontal wigs on dome caps. The lesson also teaches students about how to take and transfer measurements and offers tips for making wig tracks stay flat. There will even be a Q&A session dedicated to questions about using high head sewing machines.
Those who sign up for the wig-making course are expected to bring their own materials and machinery to the event. Participants may use any Singer-branded heavy-duty sewing machine model and bring two bundles of straight-wefted hair. The hair brought to the lesson must be brand new. Students are also required to have a canvas wig block. Attendees may bring their phones to class to record the lesson.
The wig-making course will be on Saturday, May 4th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The cost to participate in the lessons is $550 per person. Students must pay a $150 deposit. People can get a discount on Fablux Wigs’ workshop by registering early. Business owners who host skill-building activities such as this may use printing services to make custom educational materials for their students.
