McDonough venue hosts country musicians

A late July concert is bringing two acts to McDonough to perform some country music.

Keith Burns is a co-founder of the award-winning band Trick Pony, as well as a solo artist and songwriter. He has worked with notable acts such as Sammy Kershaw and Hootie & The Blowfish.

Between his solo work and Trick Pony’s, Burns has tracks such as “Over The Rainbow Bridge,” “Just Getting Started,” “Pour Me,” “The Bride,” and “Fast Horse” in his discography.

Presley & Taylor are a female country duo who have risen steadily over the past few years. Their first album, “Limited Edition,” was released in 2024, with singles making up their previous work. They have opened for major stars such as Martina McBride, Old Dominion, and Tracy Byrd.

Presley & Taylor’s discography includes songs like “Leave the Pieces,” “Heartfelt,” “Honky Tonk Girl,” “22 Red Flags,” and “The Storm.”

The McDonough concert is being held at Southern Roots Tavern & Eatery. Tickets are available through Big Tickets. The entire show is general admission, with the price being $25. The doors will open for the show at 6:00pm, with the music starting at 8:00pm. Due to the start time, the performance is restricted to those who are 21 and older by the venue’s policy. Many musicians will sell merchandise printed with their Logo Design at concerts. The show date is July 25th.
