McDonough to offer business boot camp for kids

The Selfie Xperience in McDonough will hold a program that teaches children about running their own businesses.

The Business Bootcamp for Kids is a series where those ages 7-17 are taught the essential skills for operating a successful business. The program uses group projects and real-life simulations to expose students to the thrills of running a company. Children are divided into age-appropriate groups and will be taught by a team of experienced mentors. The boot camps offered by the organizer can last for one or two days.

There are several business and entrepreneurship-related topics students will get to learn about in the program. Participants are taught how to create business plans, pricing techniques, and customer service skills. Students will also learn how to create content for their brand, such as photos, videos, and written pieces. The workshops cover the basics of financial management and show children how to set up online stores.

The business boot camp will be held on every Saturday between September 9 and December 16. Each session costs $199 to join and will last from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Spots in the program can be reserved for $99, and $100 is due on the day of class. Companies that hold an educational series like this may use brochure printing to make take-home advertisements highlighting the main benefits of their programs.
