McDonough to lift community with summer festival

LIFT UP Atlanta will be organizing a summer celebration in McDonough to raise funds for homeless and disadvantaged people.

The LIFT UP Atlanta Summer Fun Festival is a fundraising event that offers several entertaining activities to participants. The family-friendly program has multiple attractions for children, such as a face painting stall, designated fun zone, and petting zoo. There will also be many live performers, including DJs, magicians, clowns, and superhero cosplayers. The festivities will take place at the Jason T. Harper Event Center.

LIFT UP Atlanta is an organization that was formed in 2011 to help provide necessities to those in need, such as shelter, education, food, and clothing. The group has created numerous programs to benefit others, like the Community Clothing Closet and Christmas Toy Giveaway. The organization also gives out school supplies and holiday food baskets to hundreds of families each year. The visibility of charitable activities such as these can be improved by utilizing poster printing to make displays to hang on community boards.

The LIFT UP Atlanta Summer Fun Festival will be held on Saturday, July 16 from noon to 6:00 pm. Registration is not needed to go to the organization’s free event, and guests will be allowed to bring personal lawn chairs and blankets to the occasion. Local vendors at the celebration will be selling food and crafts.
