Enrichment 4 Happiness & Harmony (E4HH) will hold a science fair this February in McDonough.
The 1st Annual E4HH Science Fair is a competition where home-schooled kids and teens can experience using scientific methods. There are multiple categories for the projects, such as life science, space science, and engineering. Students in the fair will be divided into groups based on their grade level. All submitted projects require participants to make a two-minute video containing their introduction, the problem they intend to solve, and their hypothesis.
The E4HH is an organization in McDonough that aims to provide home-schooling families with enriching opportunities. The founder of the group is Nikki Hunter, a former corporate trainer and police officer who worked at Rutgers University. Elena Zamudio is the co-founder of the non-profit. The organization created the Enrichment 4 Henry Homeschoolers program to provide kids with field trips. Parents are expected to attend the field trips with their children.
The science fair will be held on Wednesday, February 22 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The entry fee for the competition is $25 per student, which includes medals and gift Bags for all participants. Students in the 5th grade and up must submit their research papers for the fair by February 16. Non-profits that put together educational activities such as this can use poster printing to advertise their contests at libraries and community centers.
