McDonough rock fest to benefit local foundation

The Nicholas & Friends Foundation will be organizing a classic rock festival at the Gallery on Hood Street in McDonough.

The McDonough Rock Festival is a fundraising event where people can hear several talented bands perform live. This year, the fest will feature performers such as the Nathan Morgan Band, Years of Sorrow, and Jay Presley. Tribute bands like Head Games and Nightrain International will also be at the festival. Those who purchase VIP tickets to the fest will sit in a reserved section at the front of the stage and receive a special lanyard and swag bag.

The Nicholas & Friends Foundation is a non-profit group that helps local special needs classrooms get the materials they need to enhance the experiences of students. Teachers can create wish lists for supplies to send to the organization. Those interested in being involved with the foundation may volunteer to help purchase and deliver the requested materials to classrooms. Volunteers can also assist the charity during its yearly fundraisers.

The rock festival will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 3:30pm to 10:00pm. General admission will cost $30, and VIP seating can be bought for $50 per spot. Children 12 and under may attend the rock fest for free. Foundations that plan music events like this may use banner printing to market their fundraisers to outdoor consumers.
