An experience taking place in a few weeks in McDonough is bringing elements of both community and exercise.
Clash of the Titans Winter Solstice is an event put together by Delaney Gosart and David Dunn. The duo is also behind the Summer Genesis version of the activity, through Atlanta Area Crossfit Competitions.
While the Winter Solstice is a competition event, people can also participate in a more casual way, enjoying the social aspect and workout. Guests are welcome to watch and cheer on those taking part in the contest.
There are multiple divisions. RX, Scaled, and Masters are the team disciplines. RX and Scaled will also have individual events for both women and men, along with an additional discipline called 35-45. Each has its own routine. Detailed lists of the exercises are on the event’s page on Competition Corner’s website.
In order to partake in the experience, individuals must pay $90, while the teams, which consist of three people, have a fee of $210. Registration can also be completed via Competition Corner.
The full activity is taking place over the course of two days. Flyer printing and poster printing are common choices of promotion techniques for such contests.
The timeframe is 7:00 am on Saturday, January 25 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 26. The venue on both dates will be the McDonough gym Crossfit Pulse.
