McDonough event celebrates fun and community

McDonough is bringing an annual event which brings the community together with several days of fun back in mid September.

The Kiwanis Henry County 2024 Fair is an exciting event with entertainment which is sure to please everyone. This includes carnival games, food, carnival rides, vendors, a dinosaur showcase, a circus performance, a petting zoo, and live music.

The guests can enjoy carnival classics like cotton candy, a Ferris wheel, spinning swings, corn dogs, funnel cakes, big slides, prizes like stuffed animals, and a carousel. The vendor market will have a variety of businesses and individual artisans/crafters with unique items for sale. With the vendors changing each year, there is bound to be something new and exciting to discover.

Tickets are $10, with a $5 option available until the first day of the event. All tickets have specific entry windows depending on the times of day the fair will be open, with the cheaper option having a more narrow window. Purchases can be made on the KCF website. A spot for donations is also on the page, should guests choose to give anything to the county.

The latest any day of the festival will run is 10:00pm, with the earliest starting time being 2:00pm. Flyer printing is a common promotion technique for carnivals/county fairs. The event is taking place at the city’s Heritage Park between September 18th and September 22nd.
