A McDonough event in the middle of March is making the experience unique for each attendee.
Painting with a Twist is an art studio company which hosts a variety of group art classes where participants can enjoy a beverage or some light food as they work. The atmosphere of these events is meant to be less intimidating than a more structured lesson.
Open Studio is a scheduled period where attendees can choose the image they will paint, rather than the piece being predetermined. Those attending in groups can even select different pictures.
Some of the subjects and themes of the options available include llamas, flowers, trees, people, bunnies, popular characters, landscapes, mermaids, and gnomes.
In order to participate, a ticket must be purchased. This $39 fee covers everything needed for the lesson, including the 16”x20” canvas. For an extra $25, guests can also craft their own scented candle. Purchases are available on the McDonough PwaT studio’s website. A gallery showcasing options for the open studio session is also there.
The event is BYOB. Everyone consuming alcohol is required to have an ID and be at least 21 years of age. The class is open for those who are 18 and up. Many events centered around the arts use flyer printing as one of several promotion techniques. The time scheduled for the experience is 7:00pm to 9:00pm on March 20th.
