Local nonprofit to be part of flashmob generosity day

Members of the Henry County Fuller Center for Housing Inc. will be coming together in aid of those unable to carry out repairs on their homes.

The nonprofit was created when members of the Americus-based Atlanta Fuller Center for Housing began

'Project McDonough' in 2010, which was a program design to help the community. It soon became an affiliate, and grew to cover the whole of the county.

The “flashmob of giving” is a statewide event geared towards raising cash to pay for expenses, such as materials not available through donations and labor that cannot be handled by volunteers.

Organizations such as the Henry County Fuller Center for Housing must continually promote on two separate fronts. Advertising for resources such as volunteers, donations, and cash is necessary on the one hand, as is getting the word out to those who can benefit from their services. Both promotional fronts can be served by brochure printers.

Georgia Gives Day is November 13. Those wishing to donate funds can do so via the Georgia Gives Day website. For those looking for more information regarding the Henry County Fuller Center, this has its own website as well.
