Golf tournament to swing close to McDonough

The Inaugural Project One Junior Golf Fundraiser is scheduled to make its debut near McDonough this spring.

As the organizer of this event, the non-profit Project One Golf Academy (POGA) focuses on helping children to build their golfing skills in preparation for a future career in the sport through financial and coaching support. The golfing tournament is designed to help fund the organization’s efforts.

Perks included in the Inaugural Project One Junior Golf Fundraiser tournament will be golf games that involve three-player teams, prizes, and a raffle. Registration costs $75 per person. Mulligans (the opportunity to retake a shot) are priced at $5, and raffle tickets are available at $5 for one or $3 for five tickets. Tee sponsorship is priced at $100 per hole.

Companies situated in McDonough or other communities in Metro Atlanta can provide additional support through sponsorship options that each cover the cost of a three-player registration. The Cart Sponsor, Food Sponsor, Beverage Sponsor, Scoreboard Sponsor, and Driving Range Sponsor options each cost $1,000. Flyer printing is a means of creating informative physical materials that many organizers of fundraising events utilize to ensure that all attendees have access to important information about the event.

This golfing event is set to be hosted at the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Club in Atlanta on Friday, April 9 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
