Music lovers can look forward to two performances coming up this month at Red Clay in downtown Duluth.
“The Linda Ronstadt Experience” featuring Tristan McIntosh, a star from American Idol, is first on the agenda and is one of the Eddy Owen Presents (EOP) at Red Clay on Main Street series. In this concert, McIntosh portrays Ronstadt at the prime of her career when she was one of the most popular female vocalists in the history of music. McIntosh will be supported by a backing band.
The concert will feature the many songs that made Linda Ronstadt famous, including “That’ll Be the Day,” “When Will I Be Loved,” and “You’re No Good.” The show will be on Thursday, February 19 at 8:00 pm.
EOP will also be presenting the Shawn Mullins Birthday Shows. The release of Mullins’ Grammy-nominated number one hit in 1998 followed by another top-rated hit in 2006 rocketed Mullins to commercial and international critical success. In early 2002, Shawn he joined Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge to form the supergroup The Thorns. In 2018, he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his Soul’s Core album with new arrangements of the songs, which will be featured at this concert on Friday, February 27 at 8:00 pm.
