Hanmi Bank has opened a new branch in Duluth. Hanmi Financial Corporation is the holding company for Hanmi Bank and recently held a grand opening celebration.
The bank is on Pleasant Hill Road and is the company’s first full-service branch in Georgia. Hanmi Bank was founded in 1982 to serve the Korean American community in Los Angeles and is a community bank that specializes in special financial solutions, commercial lending, and SBA loans as well as checking and savings accounts for small and middle market businesses and individuals. Georgia has become a major focal point for Korean investment and expansion. Korean companies in fiscal year 2023 created over 12,600 jobs across the state and made more than $10 billion in new investments. Last year, trade between Korea and Georgia was $17.5 billion, highlighting the strength of this dynamic economic partnership.
Chief Executive Officer and President of Hanmi Financial Corporation, Bonnie Lee, said that the expansion in Georgia is a significant aspect of the growth plans of the company and she expressed her excitement to be part of the community. The hours of the bank are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
