The city of Norcross is seeking applications and volunteers for a few openings.
Applications are currently being accepted for the Planning and Zoning Board. The Planning and Zoning Board is an advisory group for the city and examines all proposals and projects in the light of the criteria set forth in the land use plan of the city. The first Wednesday of the month is when its meetings are held in the Second Floor Community Room in City Hall, beginning at 6:30 pm.
Those who have applied within the last two years do not need to reapply but should fill out a special form. New applicants need to fill out a different form online.
The city is also looking for volunteers to represent the city’s vibrant community in a video shoot. There are flexible timeslots for volunteers between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Volunteers are also welcome to spend the entire day.
Poster printing can be used throughout a city to encourage applicants and volunteers for opportunities like this.
As well as people, pets are welcome to this event. The goal is to create a lively mosaic of the community to show how much the city sparkles. This video shoot will be on Saturday, September 30 with applications due by Friday, September 22 at 6:00 pm.
