Norcross has said hello to a new library close to Lillian Webb Park.

This new library is part of the efforts of the city to expand its downtown district and revitalize the Buford highway corridor. This is a relocated branch of the library that with the Brunswick mixed-use development will connect Lillian Webb Park with Buford Highway, along which the city is encouraging redevelopment.

Craig Newton, mayor of Norcross, said that this unique library will provide high-quality information and fair access to all its resources. The new library offers spaces for coding, crafting, sewing, and 3D printing; 45 computer stations; study rooms and a game room; and a community meeting room that can hold as many as 120 people. An outdoor plaza with planters and seating is provided as well as a staircase so that people can access the park and the library from Buford Highway. Such amenities are often highlighted for the public with brochure printing.

The county and the city collaborated on planning the library on such details what resources it would provide and the overall design. Officials from the county see the new library as a major asset in the community that will provide many opportunities for both adults and children to gather and get creative. Monies from a special purpose local option sales tax went to fund the construction of the library.
