A partnership between IHL Group (an advisory and research firm that serves the retail industry) and Stratix (a managed mobile services provider for large corporations located in Norcross) was recently formed to conduct a survey on the largest retailers in the industry.
The results of the study revealed that those retailers who use mobile apps within their stores are projected to have a sales growth of 146% for this year.
Findings from the survey also showed that retailers who have mobile point of sale (POS) apps experienced an average increase in sales of 24% in 2017 when compared to those retailers who do not use these apps. In addition, those retailers whose growth was flat or declining saw their sales for last year increase by 100% when they deployed the app, and expect their growth to increase by 47% this year.
Gina Gallo, President and CEO of Stratix, commented that the company was not surprised by these findings, as the need for and use of mobile apps and devices has grown tremendously over the last decade. She adds that enterprise customers are now increasingly relying on these tools in their business environments.
Companies can look to various marketing services to publicize the results of such surveys, and help current and potential customers with such technological endeavors.
