The City of Lawrenceville is planning several events at the Lawrenceville Lawn, a city park, as part of its unveiling after being fully renovated. Residents of Norcross may want to check out these nearby events.
The renovations include adding a permanent amphitheater that is 40 feet by 600 feet in size, more parking for the public, additional bathrooms, and arbor shades for tables.
The inaugural event on the Lawn will be the premiere DTL (Downtown Lawrenceville) Concert and Fireworks Spectacular. The artist is to be announced. The concert and fireworks will take place on Friday, September 11. Food trucks will open at 6:00 pm with the concert starting at 8:00 pm, followed by fireworks. Other LIVE at the DTL concerts will take place on Friday, September 25 and Friday, October 9. All concerts are free and open to the public.
Poster printing can be used for such concerts when more details are available regarding performing artists.
Another event coming to the Lawrenceville Lawn will be Pawfest of the Gwinnett Humane Society. The Society and the city are partnering to bring this celebration of pets, which will include dog contests, disc dog demos, a paw parade, and lure chasing. Low-cost vaccines will be made available and dog adoptions will also take place. Pawfest will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 17.
