The 260-unit Ashford 6860 in Norcross has recently been purchased by the RADCO Cos. for $22m, giving the company new, modern housing to offer to locals.
Financing of the purchase was made possible with a loan from Hamilton State Bank and private capital. RADCO Residential, the proprietary management platform of the company, will manage the development.
The Ashford 6860 is conveniently located just a few miles from Interstates 85 and 285, and minutes from many major retail outlets, including Sugarloaf Marketplace, Gwinnett Place Mall, and Sugarloaf Mills. It covers 13 acres and has 15 two- and three-story buildings. There are 147 one-, 117 two-, and 16 three-bedroom units in the garden-style apartments. Amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, playground, and tennis court. There are also parking space for 450 vehicles.
RADCO plans to make major renovations to the buildings. These will include upgrades to the interiors of the apartments, enhancements to amenities in the common areas (such as expansion of the fitness center), remodeling of the clubhouse, and adding a fire pit/grilling area.
Founder and CEO of The RADCO Cos., Norman Radow, said that this will become a value-added community that represents the best in the suburban market.
