What's Happening in Atlanta, GA…

Revamp planned at Atlanta eatery

Chick-fil-A is planning to redesign the Dwarf House restaurant in Atlanta.

The restaurant chain is renovating restaurants in its network, and this historic restaurant will be torn down and redesigned. Dating back to 1946, this venue is known for being home to the grilled fried chicken sandwich that became Chick-fil-A's most popular menu item.

The Dwarf House in Atlanta is one of the chain’s full-service restaurants, serving hamburgers, sandwiches, grilled steak with fries, macaroni, and cheese, cornbread, soup, chicken, pies, cookies, and breakfast. Open 24 hours a day, it offers table service.

Chick-fil-A now wants to combine four pieces of land into one property located at 461 North Central Avenue, totaling 2.7 acres in size. This proposed site will be a combination of a Chick-fil-A museum and restaurant. It will depict the history of the chain, design styles, and the menu, and will come with two lanes for drive-through and ordering, and a large parking lot for buses.

The restaurant and museum would be approximately 40,000 square feet in size, replacing a gas station and convenience store. The two drive-through lanes would have room for 25 vehicles.

Additionally, there will be outdoor play areas and improved landscaping around the building, and the restaurant itself will have a larger kitchen and more dining space. Printers design promotional products for such restaurants, like pens, T-shirts, mugs, or tote bags.
