What's Happening in Atlanta, GA…

Fall festival blooms in Atlanta

More than 400 artists and craft makers will display their wares at the 57th annual Yellow Daisy Festival in Atlanta.

The festival is held annually in September in celebration of the native yellow daisy, which blooms at that time of year on trails and hills around the city.

What was once a small crafts show has grown to become a well-loved four-day event presented by Stone Mountain Park. Shoppers will find jewelry, wood and metal crafts, pottery, and soaps.

Not only has the festival grown in duration and popularity but also in the included programs and activities. The included Yellow Daisy Vintage Village attracts treasure hunters and antique enthusiasts looking for unique items, clothing, and accessories from the past.

This year, children can participate as entrepreneurs in their own market. The young vendors will display their crafts, treats, and other original creations. Youngsters can also have fun in the expanded Kids’ Zone, featuring games, face-painting, sand and balloon art, and bouncy houses.

Adults can take a break from shopping with a visit to the festival's beer garden and food vendors while enjoying a variety of live music and performances.

Organizers of large festivals such as this often use banner printing to highlight the included events.

The Yellow Daisy Festival will be held September 4 to 7 at Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta. Full festival details are available on the park’s website.
