Dragon Con returns to Atlanta next month for five days of fandom; highlighting science fiction and fantasy, comics, art, literature, music and film.
First held in 1987, the convention has grown to become a massive mixed genre, multimedia event, deemed one of the largest in the world.
While similar events combine just a few focussed themes, Dragon Con organizers decided early on to defy the norm and bring together multiple genres and fandoms into one location. The idea worked and attendance has grown from several thousand to as many as 80,000 people in recent years.
Creative professionals, including writers, actors, illustrators and other innovative artists will be among the talent from around the world that will be in attendance at Dragon Con.
Featured events will include non-stop gaming, cosplay, board games, comics, workshops, contests, an art show, walk of fame, musical performances, and an exhibition floor of vendors.
