Next month’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Atlanta has been held annually for over 160 years, only absent during the First and Second World Wars.
The Hibernian Benevolent Society first organized the parade in 1858, and it grew in the 1990s to include many Irish groups, individuals and organizations.
The parade is now under the direction of the Irish Network Atlanta, an organization that works to bring together local people with Irish heritage and to promote Irish groups and charities through cultural events, sports, and other activities.
The upcoming parade will not only highlight Irish culture but also feature a range of other family-friendly entries. In addition to Irish music and dance, the parade often includes floats, high school bands, other dancers, clowns, drill teams and four-legged friends, from dogs to llamas. There will be a green theme throughout the parade in keeping with the St. Patrick’s celebration.
Spectators can watch the parade along Peachtree St NE in Midtown. It begins near the intersection of 15th Street and will last for approximately an hour and 15 minutes.
Businesses and organizations that join in or sponsor parades often use banner printing to draw attention to their products and services.
The Atlanta St. Patricia’s Day Parade will begin at noon on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Further information is available on the event website.
